What is a golden visa and Who can get the golden visa in the UAE?

UAE has begun releasing a 10-year golden visa. This visa is going to be awarded to some professionals, including physicians, engineers, PhDs, and any other people from UAE accredited universities. These individuals need to score high-Grade Point Average or GPA which is 3.8 and above. This country wants to retain talented individuals in the country. Also, this was an act of government trying to use the golden visa to expand their tax base. More than 400 people so far, were lucky enough to get the golden visa.

Eligibility criteria for foreign investors to apply for golden visa?

• You must make a deposit of up to 10 million dirhams in an investment fund in the UAE.
• You must be an owner of a company with 10 million dirhams as capital investment or must be a partner in a company with a share of up to 10 million dirhams.
• The applicant must have held the investment for at least three years
• You should be fully owned your investment funds rather than be funded through a loan and sufficient proof must be given
• The applicant and their family members must have valid insurance documents

What eligibility conditions must experts meet for the golden visa?

• They can be a professor from any one of the top 500 international universities that is approved by the ministry of education
• The applicant must have an award or certificate of appreciation for his/her area of specialization
• The applicant can be a scientist who have made major contribution to an area of study
• The applicant can be Ph.Ds. with 20 years of practical experience in his/her field of expertise
• The applicant can also be specialist in fields significant to the UAE
